Instructional Videos

The Tasmanian Council for Adult Literacy (TCAL), supported by the Department of State Growth, Libraries Tasmania, and 26TEN, has developed eight short adult literacy tutor training videos. TCAL has
been working on a Workforce Development Grant Project since 2019 and these
videos are a product of that and excellent collaboration and creation of local
resources.
The videos demonstrate the essential building blocks of reading. The techniques
demonstrated are grounded in contemporary, evidence-based activities
recommended for adult, one-on-one literacy tutor training. We have also developed
Tutor Tip Sheets for each skill.
